Lotus (Skt. padma; Tib. pad ma):
The lotus symbolizes the unfoldment of the inner divine potential, the incarnate soul arising from the depths of the physical plane to the total enlightenment of spiritual rebirth.
In Buddhism, every important deity is depicted either seated upon the lotus, or holding it in their hands. This representation acts as a symbol of the successful journey from humanity to enlightenment.
The half open lotus is a reminder of the process you are in, opening yourself to find the jewels hidden within your heart. There is no moment that isn’t sacred.
And the risk that it took
To remain tight inside the bud
Was more painful than
the risk it took
